Well, blog, its june already! which means that this might be the end to my party reviews since school is almost over and i don't ever party in the summer. what am i going to do this summer actually? publish some rare chamber music? check. sit around? check. be forced to do some dog training? check. whatever. it will be alright doing some staight up chilling by myself.
heres my final party review for the year unless it turns out there are some other things going on this weekend:
beta-formal:, maria schneider gathering at sinfonia: bear in mind i did not go to either of these events but i have no problem judging them. sinfonia was boring masquarading as sophistocated, and beta was just filled with preppy assholes. and that kid with the unnatural looking hair who i think is our class president. gay.
co-op "not exactly naked" party: B. there was nothing really wrong with this party except that i felt it was missing a lot of key players. it certainly wasn't the big endof year party i was hoping for. also the costumes wer'ent all that original for the most part as far as i could tell. i helped emay make a costume out of soundboard signs which was real cool. shameless. also the music playing wasn't all that great. HUgh was dj'ing . he played some okay things (daft punk) but also some really wierd stuff that if i wasnt drunk i would have had a hard time dancing to. bob nicholson and jen cox made out on the porch couch. willtron was there being sweet. i told corey robertson that she "had no future in the academic world" and that "i would never sleep with her ever" and that i "did not appreciate the comments she made in class". i later appologized. and now my knee hurts a lot. probably from dancing. i guess i got my just desserts.
anyways, i think im going to go to the diversity center to learn how to match hiphop beats with adrell.
it was nice while it lasted.

what's that thing on your chest?
heart monitor?
"-Did you get that?
-Uh....yeah.
- Good. We'll give them the reality this time. A washed up old man, with no friends, no distribution deal, wife on the rocks, people laughing at him, feelin' sorry for himself..."
so anyway, my paper is almost done. WELL. ok. bye.

everything hits at once
hey blog! i know its pretty late, but i figured you'd still be up...when i can go outside in gloves and a hat midway through May and school is almost done i know things are not right. i confuse myself sometimes i guess.
paul's recital was today. i played a piece with him for violin, guitar, and string bass. it's a really nice piece. everything else was way better than good. it was probably the best i've ever seen him play.
i know its only saturday but, i'm pretty sure the lawrence campus is done with partys for this weekend. so here's the PARTY review anyways::
Friday:
phi tau formal: apparently my dj "skillz" were so impressive to the phi taus last week at their Le brawl party that they wanted me to dj their formal. which is cool by me, i mean i dont do anything except make a playlist and try my best to get the songs to transition well. i mean i guess you gotta "read" the crowd, but when like 10 people show up to dance things tend to not matter so much. thank god i got to take emay with me because i don't think that i could have survived that alone. it wasn't so bad but imagine a bunch of physics/math majors jumping up and down/ grinding if they're lucky, on a fake hardwood dancefloor in the corner of the school cafeteria. they were also dressed in suits. it was really alright, except for the time i accidently tripped on the cables knocking out the music for about 30 seconds of Mr Brightside. like i said, it was a pro job.
sig ep semi-formal: so i went over to sig ep to start dj-ing there at around 11:15 and it was looking pretty meager for a while, but we got a pretty good size dance party going by like 11:45 or so. "northshore" was wasted so i danced with her for a little bit, but mostly only because i didn't want that other kid to take her home and whatever while she was so trashed, because, no girl deserves that. erin and celine showed up and they took over the playlist while i danced for a while. we blared some yukon ho! and danced to that shit. i was kind of surprised anyone even showed up to sigep but it was kind of a cool party for a little bit there. B+.
saturday:
valeria's birthday party on hiett patio: this was alright. it was kind of cold and bad salsa music was playing for a while before the sambistas showed up. megan allen was there too, dancing poorly, but i wasn't paying too much attention. sambistas were pretty sweet, paul was drunk, and the dancing picked up after a while, but i wasn't drunk and didn't feel like dancing that much. wierd i know. but it happens to the best of us i guess.
beta "party" (theme:weding crashers): i don't know who came up with this theme but boy was it dumb. they just had like the movie going in the living room and some dumb blacklights in the basement and all the guys were dressed up in these dumb half-tuxedos. i couldn't tell what the point of this party was. no one was in the basement. will herbon was on the porch though, being sweet as usual. D+. but only that high because it wasnt creepy...just boring.
GLOW gathering: i didn't make it over in time. i hear mike noyce was there.
in conclusion, it was an alright weeked, but i can't say i had very much to be excited about..my nose is real cold. i'm gonna go to bed before it falls off..see you in heaven.

ok, ok
so i took this psych study today and they videotaped my reactions to some video clips. of course i had no reactions, cause in reality i have no feelings. but i was picking my nose!!! horrible. and now spencer is all over that shit! alright well.
i am not feeling alltogether well mentally. panic flails in my throat like a dying bird flinging itself against the bars of its cage.
ok.Party Review!: Some latin band was playing on the quad. they were allright but i wasn't really feeling it. megan allen was dancing again. i don't have anything nice to say about it.
the band that opened for Inspector Owl was pretty trash. they just basically jumped around a lot and wore dumb clothes and said stupid stuff like "cool" and "yeah me too". plus they were WAY too loud. Inspector Owl in the coffeehouse was good! songs were sweet/dancing was good. i've been thinking about starting a 24/7 dance force/squad/team with Christina Blomberg. i have some strict rulez though...1. we must train at least 3 days a week. 2. we must hit up at least 2 parties a weekend. 3. if there are no dance parties we must make one.
inspec. owl played a sweet afterparty in Greenfire house. they played Goddamn which was good. and some other good dancy songs. i made a fool out of myself. but i guess its better to get yourself out there and be seen rather than sit around and do nothing? i really really dislike moshing as a dance techique at parties. it just fucking sucks. why do people do this? all in all it ended up being kind of frustrating. but for other reasons than the band or even the moshing. i danced a lot though and hopefully tomorrow should go ok

file me away in your heart someday
Reading period went pretty ok! I played 2 and a half games of croquet. I'm not very good.
Yukon Ho! played at co-op house on Saturday night. Probably for the last time. I danced harder than I have ever danced in my life. Afterwards I felt like I had just sprinted 12 miles and I think a lot of people thought I was really trashed because I went to go lay out on the pavement for a while. Whatever. I was fine. dancepunk dancepunk all night long. "Yukon Ho!...all our fans are drunk." Never again.
Anwayz, to rest of the party review: Wed night- Co-op (not a party). Drank some wine and tequilla, told some kid that my dick wasn't hard enough and asked if he could help me out by taking off his shirt, walked in on a game of truth or dare and turned around and told everyone on the porch what i really thought of them. Not a great idea.
Thurs night - attempted to host an emergency dance party in the Sig ep basement. except all the sig eps were already there, smoking. I calleed everyone in my phone but no one really showed up so the party really never took off. It wasn't a total bust though. James Hall showed up and stayed for way longer than I expected.
Well,,,okk. i didn't take these and it's not even from that dope ass show last night, but it communicates what words cannot.
yukon hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I'd been living here for two months and Skyler's door was never closed.
Here is my review of this weekend's parties:
Friday night: All Greek Formal - This reminded me of a cross between High School friday night and going to someone's Bar Mitzvah party in seventh grade where I didn't know anyone, all of the girls didn't want to dance with me and all you can do is stand in the back nervously sipping on your icewater. Anyways, the music was pretty lame and everyone there was trashed except me. Big mistake. Some gurl shit her pants, I heard. and also there was a lot of puking in the bathroom. to be expected. Anyways, the entirety of this was dissapointing cause no one really talked to me and the dancing scene was lame. why are jocks always so ugly?
Sinfonia/Glow party: B-. Security's being real fuckasses this year so by the time Vale Todo played I didn't know anyone there.
Saturday Night: Sig EP P+H parti: Pretty stupid all in all. Some stupid high schoolers came to this shit and since I was standing by the door most of the time kept thinking I was some sort of official of Sig Ep. As if something like that even exists.
girl: "yeahhhhh. way to not let the police in!"
me: "cool."
girl: "the police won't be called will they?"
me: "what"
girl: "the police. are they ever called to these parties?"
me: " i don't think so. do they come to high school parties?"
girl: "so they won't make me take a breathalizer???"
me: "youre at a party not driving a car"
anyways, some girl also asked me if i was curious. i said yes and we fucked on the toilet in the bathroom. all in all, it was pretty disgusting cause someone had puked on the seat before hand.
in conclusion, i saw this weekend: 3 naked girls and the worst mockery of a salsa dance I have seen in a long time: megan allen.
I think it might be time break up with Sig Ep today. I sure have learned a lot.
I thought I should put up a Blog self portrait so here goes:

we've come a long long way together
I drank some wine and went to a party tonight by myself. I danced for a while, got really sweaty and a lot deafer. My cough still lingers and my left arm feels like it might fall off. Taxes are due soon! I wish I had had a normal job this last summer so I could send off for some money back. One time I had a real job. I worked at a day camp for jewish kids. They were pretty stuck up. But I learned a lot about how to fix faulty drinking fountains, barbecue food for 300 people at once, buy lumber at Home Depot, play dodgeball, set up massive inflatable birthday cakes, and buy in bulk at Sam's Club. Hopefully I will not have like 100 jewish children of my own someday and I will avoid having to ever do this again.
